Hello everyone, my name is Janel St Louis though as soon as I can do so it will be legally changed to Mykhaila Storm Wolfsong and have not been called by my birth name by anyone in well over 16 years. I am an aspiring author, writing is my deepest passion, my greatest release and my souls paint for the heart within.
I have severe Fibromyalgia among other medical issues which have kept me from being able to do many things over the years however I am blessed that writing was not taken from me. At the present time I am working toward publication and also putting together a business plan for a non profit organization that will aid varied charities though the first charity that I will start with is one that aids the homeless.
My reason for choosing this is that up until a little over 2 years ago I was going from place to place because my pain disorder and other health issues kept me from being able to get a job and sadly the government of the United States is not set up well in all states to give aid. In fact, while fighting for social security I often heard that if I wanted medical assistance I would have to go get pregnant. Not something one wants to hear when they want nothing more than to have a family but have recognized that carrying a child would cause more health risks.
So, needless to say when I moved up to Maine, I was finally able to begin getting help. A homeless aid program up here helped me not only by taking me into the safety of a shelter but with six months I was placed in my own apartment which I will have lived in now for 2 years come this New Years. They helped me get in touch with good medical practices (though my step mum who passed in March was also a great help in this area) and I want to give back. With my organization I am working toward starting I can do that.
Anyway, I'm nearing 33 years old and have come to realize that I can continue writing until I can't write anymore but without a good community to be a part of I may remain stagnant and miss things in my writing that others might be able to point out and since my social anxiety keeps me from large groups an online community is a much better idea.
Thanks and I hope this finds everyone in good health, blessed be.
