My background is varied, but I started writing about 10 years ago. Though your board information sounds as if fantasy and science fiction are the leanings, hopefully someone can give me feedback on what I may be doing right---and wrong. My preference in writing and reading has been more suspense and thriller genres. But both novels I've completed have some "near future" science as a part of the story line. I do not have thin skin and actually enjoy direct and blunt critiques. I assume that one can not improve without much editing and rewriting.

Bring it on - it's good to know you're not thin-skinned even though our crits are not usually harsh. I love the genre you describe and look forward to reading it.

Welcome! While some of us may not specialize in the same genres as you I'm sure plenty of us will be more than willing to take a look. I'm glad to hear you take critiques well since I'm met many people who have a hard time with this. As Keith said, we're not harsh, but we are honest and personally I feel that's the best we could do for anyone. I hope you like it here and like the admin said in s previous topic welcoming you, we may be on a low due to the loss of one of our admins but please, post away and take a look at what others have been posting, giving your own critiques as well as you please.

What is the appropriate way to share chapters/book with each other?

You basically just have to post it in the appropriate topic. We're not going to freak out at you if we don't agree where you posted it so just read the small description under the topic and if you feel it fits there create a new thread and have at it.
